In West Bengal and Orissa of India it is known as Dolyatra (Doul Jatra) . The most celebrated Holi is that of the Braj region, in locations connected to the Lord Krishna: Mathura, Vrindavan, Nandagaon, and Barsana. These places have become tourist destinations during the festive season of Holi, which lasts here up to sixteen days.

Discussion:
The main day, Holi, also known as Dhuli Vandana in Sanskrit, also Dhulheti, Dhulandi or Dhulendi, is celebrated by people throwing coloured powder and coloured water at each other. Bonfires are lit on the eve of the festival, also known as Holika Dahan (burning of Holika) or Chhoti Holi (little Holi). The bonfires are lit in memory of the miraculous escape that young Prahlad accomplished when Demoness Holika, sister of Hiranyakashipu, carried him into the fire. Holika was burnt but Prahlad, a staunch devotee of god Vishnu, escaped without any injuries due to his unshakable devotion. Holika Dahan is referred to as Kama Dahanam in South India.

So good manners is an important subject and something qualitative is to be written about it.

First it is very important to solve the parent’s problem about writing at least 10 lines about good manners which is given as school task to his son or daughter. After that I will tell something more about good manners. This is for students of class 1 up to class 3.

To live well in a healthy way in a society, money alone is not enough. We should also have good manners and good habits, for it is human nature to seek friendship; and friendship cannot be bought with money. Relationship with others makes life pleasant and it has to be earned through our own attitude towards others. If we are kind to others, they will be kind to us, and kindness is the essence of good manners. Bad manners not only drive away friends but also others, including our own family members.

But a man whose habits are bad has no respect for others. He uses words carelessly and behaves rudely towards other and causes a lot of ill-will and unpleasantness. In the end, it is he himself who suffers the most. Everyone avoids him and he is forced to live almost in isolation.

So we can say good habits brings right practice of being careful of good manners. Good habits are the exercise  of good manners. Good habits manifests good manners in us. So we always remains attached with the values of good manners.

Essay on taxation system | Essay about Tax

                                                             Total- 1348 Word
Meaning of Tax:
The word  tax came from the Latin word taxo which means- "I estimate" . Tax  is to impose a financial charge or other levy upon a taxpayer (an individual or legal entity) by a state or the functional equivalent of a state such that failure to pay is punishable by law. A tax may also be defined as a "pecuniary burden laid upon individuals or property owners to support the government , A payment exacted by legislative authority."
Taxes consist of direct tax or indirect tax,
The legal definition and the economic definition of taxes differ in that economists do not consider many transfers to governments to be taxes. In modern taxation systems, taxes are levied in money. Tax collection is performed by a government agency such as Canada Revenue Agency in Canada, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in the United States, or Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC) in the UK and Incometax Department in India.

Discussion:
Income tax has always been making a significant impact on any country’s economy. Very high or low income tax does not necessarily mean to aid economy of any country. An optimum income tax rate depending upon country’s economical, social goals is necessary in order to realize the real benefits of income tax. I would like to support my views on this topic in following paragraphs.
First, income tax is a key driver for any country to grow and provide sufficient facilities to its citizens. If there is no income tax in the country then it is very difficult to fund the systems like army, police, industry and agriculture, which are backbones for any country’s economical growth. For example without having police in the society it is almost impossible to protect citizens and provide necessary security for the industries from stealing their products. In absence of police, various industries will have to hire their own security, which will negatively impact on the industries performance since they have to spend lot of money on the security. Same thing with the army; in absence of army it is impossible to protect the people from outside enemies in case of war or terror attacks. Thus in order to have smooth functioning of all the systems mentioned above there must of some income tax posed on countries citizens all over the world.

Essay On Science

                                       Total- 581 Words
Know Science:
Science (from Latin: scientia meaning "knowledge") is a systematic enterprise that builds and organizes knowledge in the form of testable explanations and predictions about the world. An older and closely related meaning still in use today is that of Aristotle, for whom scientific knowledge was a body of reliable knowledge that can be logically and rationally explained
Since classical antiquity science as a type of knowledge was closely linked to philosophy. In the early modern era the two words, "science" and "philosophy", were sometimes used interchangeably in the English language. By the 17th century, "natural philosophy" (which is today called "natural science") had begun to be considered separately from "philosophy" in general. However, "science" continued to be used in a broad sense denoting reliable knowledge about a topic, in the same way it is still used in modern terms such as library science or political science.

Scinec and we:
We live in the age of science. Science has brought about a lot of changes in the life of man. It is due to science that man is leading a comfortable and secured life life.artificialsatellites, television, computers, robbots, aeroplanesect.are all the gifts of science. Most of the things we use in our life are the result of the inventions of science.
Due to science the world has become smaller. Time and distance have been overpowered by science. We can reach distant places in a few hours. Even our domestic life has been changed by science, now we cook our food on gas stoves. Man has achieved great success by conquering space .Man has landed on moon. In developed countries most of the domestic work is done by robot. Computer is the latest achievement of our scientists.
In medical field also science has brought many changes. X ray machines and other gadgets help the doctors in revealing the inner portion of the body. Science is being applied in the agricultural fields. Tractors have taken the place of traditional bullocks and plough. Through science we do not feel heat in summer and cold in winter. It has changed our social life also. We can talk to our friends and relatives who are at a distance of thousand kilometers.
Electricity is now used in place of coal; new dams are being built to control the flood water. Chemicals are being used in fields. It can convert a desert into a fertile land. But science has also produced deadly weapons for mankind and therefore there is always fear of world war. On the whole science has been beneficial to mankind.

"Science is built of facts the way a house is built of bricks: but an accumulation of facts is no more science than a pile of bricks is a house" (Henri Poincare).

Although bricks are the basic essentials of constructing a house, a house is not purely made out of bricks.   Through simply stacking bricks on top of each other will not lead to a house.   Without a proper foundation and something to stick the bricks together, it is likely that the house will collapse.   In accordance with Poincare’s statement, science is quite similar to the idea of a house.   With only the knowledge of facts and formulas, and no connections in between them, they are quite useless.   This metaphor applies to other areas of knowledge, such as the arts, as well.   A painting is built of strokes; a song is built of notes, but without the “cement” to connect the strokes and notes,

Essay on Science and Religion

Total- 782 Words

Religion gives correct Direction to the Life:

This essay is written for general thinker not for spiritual thinker. As science and religion are two very conflicting subjects. Therefore in this essay science has been more prioritized than religion. But if I think from my own point of view and from the very realistic concern   then I will keep religion always at the most supreme position and science has no ground there. It is because religion start at the point where  power scale of science ends. But let us start keeping the science at super state.

Value of each is Referential:

Science and religion are two different aspects of life. Both have their own importance and values. History tells us that the two have always been in conflict in the; religion was always important and reigned supremely in every sphere of life. But gradually its place was taken by science. Today science is far more important than religion. This is felt by many.

Essay on Science and Religion

Outlook is different:

But   there are basic differences between the outlook of science and religion. The outlook of science is rational. Science believes in experiment and observation. It teaches its followers that nothing is to be believed until it has been proved to be true through experiments. Religion, on the other hand, is a matter of faith. It teaches its followers to believes and have faith in the teaching of religious teachers and the authority of religious books. Thus whatever is written in the ‘VEDAS’ Quran, Bible or the ‘GITA’ is true, because it is the word of GOD himself. The existence of god cannot be proved but it can be felt by those who have faith. It is all a matter of faith and not of experiment or observation.

Religion is the Ultimate Truth but not the Sience:

Scientific truths are tentative. Science believes that nothing is absolutely true. What is regarded as true today may be proved to be false the very next day by further experiments and observations. Thus, there was a time when the earth was supposed to be motionless and the sun was supposed to go round it. Gradually science proved that this was wrong and showed that it is the earth which goes round the sun. Similarly, Newton’s law of GRAVITATION held the day till Einstein came out with his superior theory of relativity. In this way, science advances towards truth as absolute. Whatever is written in religious books is regarded as absolutely true. Anyone who criticizes the teaching of religion is considered to be a heretic and is violently condemned. In the past, those who dared to question a religious truth were mercilessly persecuted and punished. The example of GALILEO readily comes to mind in this connection. In short, science is progressive and dynamic while religion are static and orthodox.

Science advance from the particular to the general laws and principles. Thus, NEWTON saw an apple falling, observed a number of other similarity phenomena, and finally developed, on the basis of his observations his famous laws of gravitation. Religion, on the other hand, works from the general to particular. Its methods are entirely different from those of science. Scientific laws and theories are based on a much sounder foundation than the principles of religion.

With the advancement of science, religion has gradually lost ground. Its truths have been subjected to searching analysis by science, one after another, and have been proved to be false. The methods of science have appeared more convincing and rational and people have gradually lost faith in religion. Science has also conquered the heart of the people by its practical utility. The practical applications of its laws has provided man with undreamed of comforts and luxuries, religions has no such visible and material benefits to offer.

However, science has its own limitations. Man has a body as well as a spirit. Science is concerned only with the body; it can do nothing for the sprit. Science may provide man with physical comforts, but it is religion alone which can give him the courage to struggle against heavy odds. He may even face death itself, with a smiling face. It is religion and religion alone, which can bring the healing balm for his wondered spirit.

In the end it may be mentioned that religion is a social phenomenon as well as personal and individual. It is all a matter of individual belief. Science has weakened religious faith is only as it is a social phenomenon. Science has not been able to touch religion, even the least, in its personal and individual aspects. There are people even today whose faith in the name of the religion remains unshaken and who can still make the maximum sacrifice in the name of religion. It would, therefore be wrong to say that science has made man irreligious or that it is an enemy of morality.
