Anna Hazare on Tuesday (9-8-2011) urged citizens to switch off their lights between 8pm and 9pm on Independence Day. Against Corruption movement this is the big attack of Anna Hazare on the anti elements of the nation. He said he has fought for his whole life for the social cause. He told his supporters at Azad Maidan in Mumbai.

Hazare and his supporters then marched to August Kranti Maidan in Mumbai Central, where they renewed their pledge to fight corruption.

Hazare said he would go on an indefinite fast in Delhi. "The government hasn't yet given permission for the venue. If it doesn't, then I will fast in jail," he said. Hazare and his supporters will present their version of the Bill to the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Wednesday.

Mayank Gandhi, coordinator for the movement in Mumbai, called upon supporters to gather at railway stations on August 16 morning, the day Hazare begins fasting, as a mark of solidarity.
Another IAC leader, Arvind Kejriwal said the Bill being promoted by the government would not be able to bring offenders to book.
