Introduction: Contamination of  pollutants into natural environment causes imbalance to the ecosystem which destroy the normal natural balance of the ecosystem is known as pollution. The major  forms of pollution are air pollution, water pollution, sound pollution etc.

Awareness and Rules: Pollution became a popular issue after World War II, due to radioactive fallout from atomic warfare and testing. Then a non-nuclear event, The Great Smog of 1952 in London, killed at least 4000 people. This prompted some of the first major modern environmental legislation, The Clean Air Act of 1956. Pollution began to draw major public attention in the United States between the mid-1950s and early 1970s, when Congress passed the Noise Control Act, the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act and the National Environmental Policy.

India: The Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act was enacted in 1974 to provide for the prevention and control of water pollution. The Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act was enacted in 1981 and amended in 1987 to provide for the prevention, control and abatement of air pollution in India. There are similar regulations were enacted to bring the natural balance of the human lives.

New Pollutants: Many of us aware that there is tower signal for mobile of Gigabite range carrier frequencies. This tower signal is damaging our body continuously. Other new pollutant is nuclear waste which will yet to happen. Nuclear power plants is the next requirement of the growing economy of many developing nations in the present power crisis situation. We can not stop power projects because it will sustain our growing economies. So modern  anti pollution system has to be developed to check this.

Reward or Incentive System for Pollutants: In previous time many government body of the world imposed rules for panalising the companies ; which were accounable for major emmission of wastes.  There are many incentive programs and credit policy for controlling and checking pollutants. Good corporate  are earning credit for reducing pollution.
There are two types of trading programs currently used in the United States: Emission Reduction Credits (ERCs) and Capped allowance systems (i.e. cap-and-trade). In ERCs polluters earn credits by reducing emissions below their specified rate. Cap-and-trade system sets a maximum allowable cap on total emissions. The cap is equal to the total number of allowances or permits allocated to a group of polluters.  These allowances are distributed among the individual polluters and the number of allowances held by each firm sets the limit on the amount of pollution they have the right to emit.
