Biography of Swami Vivekananda and Essay
Born on 12 January 1863 in Kolkata, Swami Vivekananda was a brilliant social reformer and a really motivating personality of India. He was the brother of seven siblings of his parents Bhuvaneshwari Devi and Vishwanath Datta.
He went to meet Sri Ramakrishna who was residing at the Kali Temple in Dakshineshwar in November 1881. He made quick walks on the spiritual path.
Swami Vivekananda left Baranagar Math and initiated a long journey to discover India in the middle of 1890. He went on a journey throughout the nation, studying the conditions of the people. In 1983, he determined to address the World Parliament of Religions so as to disperse his message in the West. His lectures at the World Parliament of Religions made him renowned as a “Messenger of Indian wisdom to the Western world” and as an “orator by divine right”. He circulated religion in England and America for 3 years and then returned to India. On 1st May 1897, he found Ramakrishna Math and Mission. He also established Belur Math in 1898.
For his second visit to the West, he leaves India in 1899. In December 1900, he returned to Belur Math. He spent his rest of his in India, motivating and teaching people. He had devoted his life by guiding others for true and pure spiritual path. His health worsened and Vivekananda breathed his last on 4 July 1902, leaving behind an eternal effect not on just the hearts of his peers, but for all the coming generations.

A worldwide famous monk, Swami Vivekananda was also known as Narendra Nath Datta in his childhood. National Youth Day is celebrated as his birth anniversary in India. His education was not regular , but he was a bright student. He was really a spiritual and religious person, renowned for his knowledge of Sanskrit. He was a great scholar, a player and a truth speaker.
Swami was greatly motivated by the religious nature of his mother and sensible mind of his father. He acquired self-control from his mother and then became a master in meditation. When he accepted Ramakrishna as his spiritual mentor, he was known as Swami Vivekananda. In a very young age, he established an outstanding leadership quality. He was also brilliant in sports, classical music, and other activities as well (also_ original it was instead of as well). By William Hastie, who was the principal of General Assembly’s Institution, he was told as, “Narendra is really a genius”.
By one of the newspapers in New York, he was ranked as greatest figure in the Parliament of Religions. He tried to eliminate poverty from India as he was a brilliant patriot and great spiritual personality throughout the nation. He was really passionate towards Hindu religion and became very victorious in creating a new understanding among people about Hinduism within and outside the nation.

Biography or Essay on Dr Zakir Hussain President of India
Dr. Zakir Husain was born on 8th February 1897 to Fida Husain Khan and Naznin Begum in Hyderabad, Telangana. When he was 13 years old, he lost both his parents leaving him and his six brothers orphaned.
Dr. Zakir Husain married at the age of 18 to Shah Jahan Begum. They had two daughters. He was educated from Islamia High School Etawah and Anglo Mohammedan Oriental College, Aligarh.
He was a prominent student leader in his college. A great educationist, he was a founder member of Jamia Milia Islamia University in New Delhi and taught there from 1920 to 1922 and thereafter he went to Germany to pursue his PhD. degree in Economics which he got in 1926.
He continued to promote education and in the year 1927 he became head of Jamia Milia Islamia University. He revived the University when it was in financial problems and was facing a closure.
He was a prominent educationist and was involved in important policy decisions promoting work centred education in India. In 1948 he became Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University and was nominated to Rajya Sabha in the year 1956.
In the year 1957 he became Governor of Bihar which he remained till 1962. He became Vice President of India in the year 1962 and in the year 1967 he was appointed President of India, becoming the first Muslim to occupy the highest office of the country.
In the year 1963 he was awarded Bharat Ratna the highest National Award.
He breathed his last on 3rd May 1969 while in office and was buried on the campus of Jamia Milia Islamia University alongside his wife. His contribution to education in both pre and post independent India will be remembered for a long time.

Biography on Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Or Essay for Class 6
Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was born on 5th September in Thiruttani in Chittoor District near Andhra Pradesh-Tamil Nadu border. His father Sarvepalli Veeraswami was a Revenue official and his mother was Sitamma.
He studied in K.V. High School Thiruttani and later in Mission School in Tirupati. He was academically a very bright student and earned many scholarships. His higher education was in Madras Christian College from where he did his M.A. in Philosophy in 1906.
Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan married Sivakamu at the age of sixteen. He had five daughters and a son. He established himself as a great scholar of comparative religion and philosophy and was regarded as a bridge between Indian and western thought, philosophy and religion.
He was deeply influenced by Swami Vivekananda and made his life a mission to defend Hinduism against uninformed western criticism.
In 1909 he was appointed as Professor in Department of philosophy at Madras Presidency College. In 1918 he taught at Maharaja College of Mysore as Professor of Philosophy and in 1921 at the University of Calcutta. In 1931 he was knighted by George V. He became Chancellor of Andhra University from 1931 to 1936. He became Spalding Professor of Eastern Religion and Ethics in the University of Oxford in the year 1936. From 1949 to 1952 he was appointed as Ambassador of India to Soviet Union. In 1952 he was elected as Vice President of India and he became President of India from 1962 to 1967.
According to his own wishes his birthday is celebrated as the teacher’s day in India. He was one of the founders of Helpage India, a non-profit organisation for elderly underprivileged in India. In 1954, Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was awarded Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian award.

Biography of APJ Abdul Kalam or Essay For Class 6
An eminent scientist and the Missileman of India Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam was born on Oct 15, 1931, in Dhanushkodi, Ramanathapuram district of India. He was born in a Muslim Family.
He developed the early passion in flight after watching the flying birds that's why he wanted to become a fighter plane pilot in his childhood. He has the deep interest in Science and Mathematics. He earned the engineering degree in Aeronautics from Madras Institute of Technology. Dr. Kalam worked as a senior scientific assistant in Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) in the year 1958 before joining the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) in 1969.
Dr. Kalam also served as the 11th President of India when he wins the election against Lakshmi Sahgal under ruling party National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the year 2002. He holds the ceremonial post of President until 2007. Before leaving his office, he also became the visiting professor in many universities. Even he died doing the same what he did throughout his career. India owes its development in the nuclear sector only due to Mr. Kalam when he provided the great technical support for Pokhran-II nuclear tests in 1998 after Pokhran-I in the year 1974.
He was awarded as a Bharat Ratna in the year 1997, Padma Vibhushan in 1990 and Padma Bhushan in 1981. Apart from this, Dr. Kalam was also awarded Indira Gandhi Award for National Integration in the year 1997, Ramanujan Award in the year 2000, King Charles II Medal in the year 2007. He died on Jul 27, 2015, at the age of 83 due to the Cardiac Arrest.

Biography or Essay of Shrimati Indira Gandhi
Popularly known as Iron Lady of India, Indira Gandhi was the 3rd Prime Minister of India. She was born on November 19, 1917, in Allahabad, India.
She was the famous personality of India as well as the Globe. Due to the sheer understanding of politics, she was the 1st woman to be elected as the head of the largest democratic country. Till date, she is the only woman Prime Minister of India.
Mrs. Gandhi holds the position of Prime Minister after about two years from the death of her father in 1964 when she was elected as the member of the Congress Working Committee in the year 1959. She became the Rajya Sabha Member for the first time in the year 1966. She was known for its dare decisions and during her tenure, India became the regional power in South Asia with having great political, economic, and military power.
State emergency was one of the biggest decision during her tenure till date that made some significant changes to the Indian Constitution. Before becoming the Prime Minister, she became one of the members in the Lal Bahadur Shastri's cabinet. As a second longest serving Prime Minister of India after Jawahar Lal Nehru, she also took charge of many ministries like Defence, Home, External Affairs, and Space during her tenure. She established herself as a prominent personality of Indian Politics before assassinated in the year 1984 due to the operation Blue Star.

In today's time too radio is providing cheapest means of news, information and entertainment. The radio is now coming at dirt prices due to advancement in electronics industries.
In past time the Government used to give information of its activities to the public through radio. Urgent and useful information was also announced through radio. Farmers were taught the improved methods of cultivation, and illiterate persons got knowledge of common laws of health and sanitation through radio. Once upon a time radio was a must for every house in those times.
