A festival is the celebration of life . Festivals bring joy and love to the masses .

India is the land of festivals. Festivals are nothing but expression of ones gratitude , joy, appreciation and love. As different communities belonging to different religions live here.  Therefore many festivals are celebrated .

Every festival has gots its own place . But my favourite festival is Eid ul fitr . Eid ul fitr is an Islamic festival . It takes place at the end of Ramadan, a month of fasting where people where people don't eat or drink in the day and break their fast in the evening . For Muslims this featival of Eid ul fitr is a occasion of showing gratitude to God and remembering him. On this day every muslim wears a new dress. Many of them distribute dresses and food to the poor known as Zakat. On this day many delicious dishea are the main attraction specially for children . Special sweet known as sewai is prepared . Eid ul fitr is a festival that shows brotherhood and family reunion . Muslims all around the world celebrate this festival. This festival brings happiness all around.

History of Eid-Ul-Fitre Essay | When was Eid in the Year 2011 , 2012, 2013

History:
The 'Eid-Ul-Fitre' was originated by Prophet Muhammad and is observed on the first of the month of Shawwal right after the end of the holy month of Ramadan (Ramjan) in which the believers (Islamic people) undergo a period 30 days of fasting.
Eid ul-Fitr is marked according to the Islamic Calender, which is based on the Lunar phases of the Moon. 
It is evident from certain Ahadith (Hadeesh) that these festivals were initiated in Madinah after migration.

When the Prophet arrived in Madinah, he found people celebrating two specific days in which they used to entertain themselves by playing and merriment. He asked them about the nature of these festivities at which they replied that these days were occasions of fun and recreation of the days of Jahilliyah. 

At this, the Prophet remarked that the Almighty Allah-Subhan-w-Tala has fixed two days of festivity one is‘Eid-Ul-Fitre and the other is ‘Eid-Ul-Adaha' or Eid-Ul-Juha (Bakreed). In India and Pakistan it is popularly known as Bakreed (also spelt as Bakrid).
In this year 2011 Eid may fall on 31st August 2011.
In the year 2012 Eid was celebrated on Sunday August 19.
In the year 2013 Eid was celebrated on Friday August 9.
In the year 2014 Eid will be  celebrated on Friday July 29.

Eid is one of the biggest clelebration after Ramjan. Namaj is the biggest factor of any celebration. It means muslim always remain stick to the value of Quran. Because Quran is the book which exhibits its supremacy  in writing over other books that came before with other prophets. It is mentioned in Quran that all previous book is now null and void. Supremacy is not created by man but by Almighty Allah Subhan-w-Tala .   Many Muslims often bring prayer rugs to the Mosque on the day of Eid ul-Fitr.

Eid ul-Fitr marks the end of the fasting month of Ramjan. This has to do with the communal aspects of the fast, which expresses many of the basic values of the Muslim community; i.e., empathy for the poor, charity, worship, steadfastness, patience etc. Fasting is also believed by some scholars to extol fundamental distinctions, lauding the power of the spiritual realm, while acknowledging the subordination of the physical realm. It also teaches a Muslim to stay away from worldly desires and to focus entirely on the Almighty Allah Subhan-w-Tala and thank him for his blessings. It is a rejuvenation of the religion and it creates a stronger bond between the Muslim and Almighty Allah Subhan-w-Tala . After the end of Ramadan, is a big celebration of Eid.

Celebration:   On this day every Muslims wears new dress as per their capacity. If some one of their neighbor has no money then they help for buying dress. Many rich Muslim distribute various clothes to the poor. Fitra Jakat is must for every Muslim. Before going to Eid Gah all have to give Jakat and Fitra to the poor. All gathers at Eid Gah to pay Namaj. After paying Namaj they embrace to each other and give Mubarak-Bad . On this day many delicious dishes is the main attraction for specially children.Sewai is the main dish. All Muslim go to the houses of each other and celebrate Sewai dish.

In this year 2016 Eid may fall on 15th  July 2016.

Eid or Eid-ul-adha means festivity. Eid is the three days Muslim's celebration holiday that marks the end of Ramjan. The holiday celebrates the conclusion of the thirty days of fasting during the entire month of Ramjan.
Ramjan is the Islamic month of fasting. It is the 9th month of Islamic calender. Eid is written in many way like Eid-ul-Fitr, Id al-Fitr, sometimes only Eid. The first day of Eid, therefore, falls on the first day of the month Shawwal.

Islamic prayer consisting of two raka'ah. which is generally offered in an open field or large hall called an Eid-gah. This salaat or prayer, can only be performed with Jama’at (gathering at one place). The prayer (Namaj) has an additional extra six Takbirs (raising of the hands to the ears while saying Allahu Akbar (God is Great), three of them in the beginning of the first raka'ah and three of them just before ruku' in the second raka'ah
Muslims are commanded by God in the Quran to complete their fast until the last day of Ramadan.
