Essay On Deforestation For Class 9 ICSE

Trees are considered as the most important contributors to the history of human existence and its development. Many human societies worship the trees as a deity till now. This is an inherent part of their tradition.

But the trees have immense scientific influence and importance more than anything else. They are the key to our survival. But, blinded by the progress toward ultra-modernism, human beings have engaged themselves in destroying these great contributors at a rapid pace. Forests are being demolished ruthlessly and nature is feeling the impact. Deforestation is the ultimate wrong step toward the progress as it unsettles the natural balance. This is possibly the greatest problem for the survival. Therefore, it is the best time to discuss and analyze the real meaning, the vital causes, the overwhelming effects, and the possible solutions to this problem.

Many people wonder about what does deforestation mean actually. The issue is clearly simple to understand. People demolish forests in order to use that piece of land for other purposes like residence, industry, business or any other use. Such large-scale devastation of the forests is considered as deforestation. About 30 percent of the earth's total land is covered with forests. So, they are vital to the natural balance. Unfortunately, deforestation is a global phenomenon. It is not limited to any particular region on this planet. Forests are being recklessly destroyed throughout the world. Recent researches have brought out some really threatening facts related to deforestation. Surveys show that the entire annual amount of deforestation can sum up to 18million acres of land. Although deforestation takes place throughout the world, the most damaged areas are those covered with tropical rainforests. Almost half of the entire rainforests has already been cleared from the world. NASA predicts that if deforestation continues at this rapid pace, there will be no signs of the rainforests within the period of coming 100years. This is really a warning and moreover, a threat to the mankind.

There are several reasons that lead to deforestation. Forests are cleared for availing more lands for housing or urbanization purposes. Paper, furniture, and construction industry also contribute greatly to this damage. Logging operations either legally or illegally cut down a countless amount of trees every year. But, the most influencing cause is agriculture and farming. People destroy forests for using that land for the agricultural purpose, or grazing their livestock. People either burn down or clearly cut down the forests. Most of these causes are related to business or money-making. But, all the causes of deforestation are not human-driven or intentional. Deforestation also happens because of some natural disasters like wildfire.

Whatever the causes are, deforestation has a huge impact on nature and the environment. It is considered as a major factor in the issue of climate change. Deforestation and climate change are closely linked. Trees store CO2 emitted to the environment from various sources. If a forest is destroyed then the CO2 storage capacity of the trees will come down simultaneously with the reduced number of trees. It does not only reduce the CO2 storage capacity but it also results in a huge amount of CO2 emissions. When forests are cut down or burnt down, the stored CO2 gets released into the atmosphere. Surveys show that deforestation results in the release of about a billion tons of CO2 per annum. As CO2 is the most influencing greenhouse gas, sudden disbalance in the CO2 cycle can enhance the effect of excess CO2 in the atmosphere. It hugely contributes to temperature increase, global climate change and destroys the natural balance. Forests also help in the exchange of water vapor between the atmosphere of the earth and the land mass. When trees are cut down, the water vapor flow gets effectively decreased. Even a subtle change in this flow can upset the balance in the atmosphere that in turn can lead to climate change. Scientists argue that climate change is the biggest concern related to the effects of deforestation.

Apart from the discussed issues of climate change and water vapor flow, deforestation has other threatening effects too. When forests are cut down, a lot of living species are forced to lose or leave their natural inhabitance. This may even lead to their extinction. Trees contribute greatly to the water cycle of the earth. But deforestation can upset the balance of that cycle. The roots of the trees prevent soil erosion by keeping the soil particles tightly knitted to each other. But, deforestation causes the loss of that tight bond that eventually results in soil erosion. If we assess all these effects, then we will realize that they jointly contribute to the loss of the quality of life throughout the world.

The effects of deforestation are not only terrifying, but they are alerting as well. If we do not counter this global problem, then we will have to face a challenging situation to our survival. Before that moment comes, this is the situation when we should try to find the possible solutions to deforestation and take proper steps. At this point, the most suitable countermeasure for deforestation seems to be reforestation. Reforestation will help to rebuild and restore habitats for many wildlife species, stabilize the CO2 cycle, normalize the water cycle, reduce the soil erosion, and increase the CO2 storage capacity of the trees. Another solution is shifting the human beings to a diet plan that is wholesomely based on plants. This will decrease deforestation as there will be no need of raising a huge amount of livestock. But experts argue that these countermeasures cannot compensate the loss already happened due to deforestation. These are also unable to produce fruitful results if deforestation continues at such rapid pace. Therefore, the primary and most important solution to deforestation is to effectively slow down the pace and rate of deforestation.

Deforestation is indeed a major global problem that can produce really undesired and potentially negative results. These results can eventually make all the species including the human beings to face the challenge of extinction in the future. Therefore, it is time to assess and analyze the problems of deforestation and take proper counter steps. It is now in our hand to counteract deforestation in order to provide our next generation a green, healthy and happy world.

Essay on Sensitivity For Grade 9 | Sense and Sensitivity

What is sensitivity? The word sensitivity is derived from the English word sensitive which according to the Oxford English Dictionary means quick to detect or respond to slight changes, signals or influences.

That is, something or someone who is quick in reflexes to changing conditions is sensitive. To define sensitivity much better let’s take an example. Imagine you and your friend take a stroll on the streets and see a beggar begging for alms. You turn a blind eye to him but your friend sympathizes. This kind of difference of opinions between you and your friend is not just because you are two different people; it is precisely because your friend is more sensitive to human suffering than you. This does not imply that you are inhuman or insensitive but probably it takes a little more for you to feel the human pain.

The word sensitivity apart from its emotional connotation has a lot of types and forms. You must have heard of terms like case sensitive, culture sensitive or insulin sensitive. Let us look at these terms one by one.

Case sensitive, a term used in the tech savvy world. It is a computer program or a function differentiating capital and lower-case. This must have happened when you fill your passwords. If the set password is in lowercase, the next time you fill it the case has to be followed otherwise an error pops up saying that the password is case sensitive.

Cultural sensitivity has numerous definitions to it, but this one gets the idea across the best. Cultural sensitivity is being aware that cultural similarities and differences exist in the world, but not allocating them a worth – positive or negative, better or worse, right or wrong. This means that culture and sensitivity are two concepts that have to be followed by the human mind and all cultures and races need to be treated the same.

Insulin sensitivity on the other hand is a general occurrence in a human body that can be measured through scientific studies. Insulin sensitivity depends upon how sensitive the body of an individual is to the effects of insulin. To be insulin sensitive means that the body will require smaller doses of insulin to control blood glucose levels than someone who has low sensitivity. Insulin sensitivity varies from person to person. Doctors can perform sensitivity tests to understand how sensitive an individual is to insulin and provide dosage accordingly.

Think about your Sense and sensitivity!

Essay on My Biggest Wish for Country For Class 9

My small wish for our country India can solve bigger problems and it will qualify as the biggest wish parameter for our country that anybody perceived till date .

Financial, political , Industrial growth numbers cannot present index of happiness of common man. Bread, employment, health and smile of the common man face determine the life index of any country .

My wish can bring the true happiness and real growth sense in our society. I think I should reveal my wish now. It is making our government's all system transparent with the help of computerisation . It is the wish of many citizens of India . Great experts already have advocated for bringing transparency . If the banks can be computerised within a year then why not gowonment . The most important thing is that computerisation must not be a show game. we common man needs to exeute our needful official job at our fingertips just like internet banking . It is the most convenient method to reduce corruption which is eating our country day by day .

Corruption is the result of redtapism activities of person connected to the execution process of the governmental bodies. If the system can be made transparent then everything will be visible foam top & bottom. Most of all the system must be citizen driven and policy must be gourmet driven. It is the only way to perceive for betterment of a country having minimal corruption or no corruption.

I would like to cite examples of redtappism activities of government staff/ officers etc and its substitute process to diminish the wrong power utilisation of the men connected with the government activity.
Example 1:
Problem: If someone go to put an FIR the police indirectly ask bribe. Or the police shows his power to put fear in the front men, so that he make a contribution.
Solution : The online FIR registry method must be made available for the convenience of the common men. And all the talk between police and the parties must be locked in the computer system. So that no any twist of move can be made to cheat any of the parties. The government fee must be paid online. There are many person who cannot do it. For them cyber cafe are to be made government's agent for case basis fee payable by the common men.
Example 2:
Problem: The judiciary system must be computerised to make the system honest. It is the one place from where corruption are breeding by leaps and bound. The problem is that layers makes creative mistake in the statement to charge unnecessary fee for its correction. For every stamp there is connected fee. No one can avail any communication to the judicial system through online system. Every common man has fear of black coats why? Is it the system our freedom fighters dreamed. Certainly not.
Solution: If the cases will be launched by the party itself thereby paying government's registration fee through e-stamp. Then the start of the cases will be transparent. The lawyer will be in the system between the customer and the court system through online channel. Every statement must be locked in the system to make it one time statement that cannot be changed for cheating anyone. It can also be scrutinized by the court judges and the system. There will be no dependency on verbal talk . Everything will be written like SAP system of the corporate world. I think this will do a wonder for the common men and for the nation also. Just like banking system and online railway ticketing has boosted the economy of our country. Transparency will do the same for the other government bodies.

Above all we love our country whatever way it looks, feel and treat us. We are proud of our country.

More to be added. Readers are requested to add more point of corruption and its solution

Your best Opinion to contribute for making of a Happy and Successful School Essay | With three Pictures and 500 words

School is an institution of learning and knowledge creation for the betterment of people, society and country.

Here student's creativity and innovation are embellished to generate value for the welfare of the society. Therefore success of a nation depends on the happiness and success of schools. Therefore success of a nation depends on the happiness and success of schools.

teacher and students in group.

I think three most important thing to be considered for the success and happiness of the school . These are discussed below.

1. Role of Teaches and staffs in success of the school:

Objective of the schools is to inculcate overall human values in students and to educate them up to the level set by education policy of a country. To achieve this goal I think teachers are the backbone of any school . Recruitment of the teachers must be on the basis of fare competitive examination. And recruitment process is to be made more transparent. I think recruitment of any school is to be conducted online.

It is utmost important to keep teachers motivated by providing them periodic training. Teacher must not be burdened for unproductive job like note copy checking of the whole class etc. The teachers should record their lecture for their own assessment to find their strength and weakness of the lecture . It may be kept personal by the teachers.

They should be encouraged for quality lecture so that student may learn more. The private school teachers must be cared for their proper salary and human related benefits. The government should publish education policy guidelines for private schools, as it is done by other regulatory authority of the country e.g. IRDA, RBI etc. Feedback of the teachers must be accepted positively by the school management. School management must be aware about the grievances of school teachers and staffs. All the staffs and teachers are to be respected by all.

2. Strength and weakness of the school :

Few genius students are not attending schools hundred percent to complete their study at home. By doing this they are performing better. The schools have to do a home work for this regarding its weaknesses. The system of school teaching must not always follow the existing pattern . It should do research work to find betterment in the education system. What worked in the past may not work today because social process has changed dramatically . Why few students are not doing well in their lives after completing their studies is a big concern. What are the reason of disparities and other social problems in the society must be analysed in the school also . It is not the sole work of the government. We are all inclusive for everything of the society. As life starts from the school therefore education policy must be strengthen so that school may have ability to deliver better students.

3. Assessment of the students and Education System and procedures are to be made Computerised:

Student's success is the school's success, this should be a mantra for every staffs of the school. There should be a quality team in a school for proper guidance and advice whether school is running on right track or not. The students must be assessed by computerised software. Individual student's weakness and strength must be known to the quality team of the school.

The students should be encouraged by delivering a lecture periodically (quarterly or bimonthly) about individual performance of the students and teachers with reference of the data of the quality team.

They should be taught advantage of hard work, determination and setting goal so that they could learn to strive for success. Encouragement , motivation and optimism are the most important medicine for the students.

Essay on a Busy Life for Class 9

Life is to remain happy, prosperous and peaceful. These three parameters are making human's life busy. Again pursuing more happiness is again engaging all of us into critical stage of busy life. Let us discuss it in details with few examples.

In general I summed up maximum information of a busy life and found that today's human beings want to perform more to achieve more. It has become possible due to technical advancement. These technical advancements and developments resulted very fast processing and execution. Due to this, reward is higher and thus materialistic life is fulfilled lavishly. A simple calculator can calculate many critical calculation in fraction of seconds; which used to take hours in past time. Computer has improved processing and calculation so fast that one can keep his business at finger tips. It is the real culprit that rounding up the yearly calculation and forecast in a second. Thus the task generated by computer of physical work and movements naturally become infinite.

Different people have different type of busy life. I shocked by listening an unemployed man's answer. He told me that he is very much busy. His business is because of getting up late and passing time with friends and ultimately searching daily job for filling his stomach. It is very peculiar type of busy life.

The people like us take something as mindbuster to entertain by doing something new and challenging; which keeps them most of the time busy. As I being a blogger there remains always some events to write about or template design for giving new look to the blog. It gives me immense happiness , therefore I like it. I felt in my life that remaining busy harm our social circle. The circle gets contracted. Desktop, laptop and smart mobile have proved to be very advantageous for stealing every moment. But we need to be more discipline to balance our social life. As ultimately life is to enjoy our social surroundings.

Let us take another example of busy life of a class 9 student. A student passes his bulk time about; 6.5 hrs a day, in school. After having his lunch he has to prepare for private tution like FIITJee or Akash Tutorial. Ultimately many student's vision is to become an Engineer or a Doctor. He returns to home at about 8 pm. Now he takes few biscuits and tea. After that he sits for school work and Tution work. He takes his dinner at around 10 pm. Thereafter he starts his won late night study. After doing all these, he cry on his mother and father that he has no time. During this all day schedule he has no time to wash his cloth or for cheer with friends. It is clear that a student's life is really very much busy life. Therefore the students needs to be more strategic about time management.

Busy life is good but more busy men are seen to be passing very complex life. It is not logical to complicate our life by becoming more busy. We need to maintain discipline in our life to achieve perfection of peace and happiness and not the complication.

Social Worker Essay For Class 9

Social workers provide support to the people who are socially excluded and have crisis of life resources. They cannot stand in the society with their own effort and knowledge, therefore these people need help of social workers ; who connect them for useful services available in a society, organisation, countries etc.

They also sometimes act as guide. Social workers work within available framework of law and procedures. For example blood donating is a legal works, therefore social blood donors remain in a group or system to provide blood to the needy people. Sometime big hospital come forward to run a free health check up for poor. All these are the examples of social work.

We must think total development . The poor and common man can't be left behind. We must live for social contribution. A society can't be happy with suffering of a group of people. Therefore social workers must be at every corner because all works can't be defined with 100% of rules and norms of a country. There remains many cases out of norms that must be handled by social workers.

Free education is a great social work; which can be done for removing illiteracy from our society. Thereafter many online services are made available by government in many countries. But it is hard to utilize this opportunity by poor and common people also. Poor people has no personal internet access. Therefore there should be a social organisation; which can make free utilisation of these opportunities for poor. This service should be given by government to support the needy people. Many organisations have started these type of services but those are not free. Therefore this work can not be regarded as social work. In India there are a system available to complain at ministry level for grievances at pgportal.gov.in but poor people are completely unaware of this service. Even common man don't fully know its use and benefit. A social work can be organised preferably at village level for grievances of the people. Because it is more important for any government to know that benefits of their policies are reaching to the bottom or not. Social workers may be employed by any private organisation to connect these type of people or communities with the government.

I think creating opportunity is not sufficient. The disparity is as prominent that it is hard to push benefits up to common man's level. Any policy should be thought for its reach, execution success and analysis. We are living with computerized people and illiterate people. So the work of social groups becomes more challenging.

Payment of social worker depends on the type of social work anybody is attached to. In western countries it is in the range of $1700 to $3000 per month. In India our labour salary is not up to this level in unorganised sector. We need to made agricultural job lucrative to retain labourers in villages. Our one important problem out of many is that the set salary for labour class people are not going completely into their pocket. It is deducted as a commission by middlemen. Here social workers have big role to execute and to nullify middlemen and to create transparent system for labour class.

Poverty is a Curse Essay | it Cripples the Society with the people | who fall victims in its Clutches | Discuss by Picturising the story of Hardship | from the chapter journey by night

Question is like this: Poverty is a curse it cripples the society with the people who fall victims in its clutches Discuss by picturising the story of hardship from the chapter journey by night.

Poverty is scarcity of need of life that tears the cloth of life into pieces thereby making eye wet and inserting deep pain into feelings. If it clutches anyone then it makes whole life full of hardship and never provide any passage to come out of it. It can be said that poverty is curse.

Poverty has been defined by many countries with income level of deprivation level, but literally in real sense poverty is the level at which human beings will not be able to survive. When it clutches in hardship then it become impossible to proceed in life. Darkness prevails around the eyes, when there remains no coin in the pocket. It turns someone into inhuman activities. Or sometime poor people divert them from mainstream of a country and works against the law and order. But simple people found them clutches themselves in the vicious circle of poverty till death.

In "journey by night" chapter we notice that Kunwar was at the door of death. But his mother was bound to work with cattle and also she was bound to continue her daily work otherwise they all had to starve. The poverty here is so deeper than it encompasses the expected death event of her beloved child. She mourned in tears and said that it was more important to send her child to hospital but she failed to do herself and forced her elder son; who was only of twelve to carry Kunwar on his shoulder. It is very pathetic. Nobody in this world will decide to put his beloved one into danger of night travelling. We never allow our son or daughter to go outside of campus if there is a road in front of our house. Night travelling risk for our son or daughter is far beyond our decision. When Kunwar's mother decides that it feels as she is taking out his heart out of his body. But if she wouldn't continue her job then all had to die. This is really very deep poverty situation.

This isn't the end of the hardship of the family. Sher Singh faces many dreadful problem on the way. difficulties on the way to hospital. For a twelve year child it is not easy to face a night journey of a primeval forest; where Shere Sing faces cobra, herd of elephant and track of bears in the night. On the way he had to cross two rivers. It was really impossible for a child to cross a flooded river. But poverty pressure is dominating her mind. It put too much pressure on Sher Singh. After reaching hospital the next big problem was money problem ; which is very common for a poor. He had to work in railway yard. Finally the effort of Sher Singh won the race of poverty and difficulty and he managed to save his brother Kunwar.

Rash Driving A Danger Essay for Class 9

Rash Driving 650 words:Rash means reckless or without sense . Here rash driving means careless driving, i.e. driving without keeping or thinking safety of driving. It is the zeal, zest, spark, smartness and new blood of youth that raises the dangerous spirit of rash driving. By grace of more money in public hand , it is wasted idiotically  by driving carelessly.  It is one example of running behind adventurous happiness. Many people feel satisfaction and happiness in adventure. But if we investigate the road accident records, we will find that about 70%(myself assessment) of them occurred due to rash driving or careless driving. If you read this (https://www.ndtv.com/article/india/india-tops-list-of-most-road-accidents-report-48782) ,then it had been found that India tops the list of road accident among southeast Asean countries. This is becoming more dangerous offence in many country.  A lot of stringent laws are imposed but rash driving is still not in full control. More lives are being lost in accidents. Driving become reckless when vehicle attains above normal safe limit of speed. At this speed the driver's full controls are lost and any few mistake results an accidents. It has been studied that it is the state of minds when driver takes more risks and enjoy the risk. I am sharing one event that happened just in front me while returning from my office. Two boys of about 19 years was driving on the same road on which I was also driving. It was end of the office time therefore many service men were returning to their home. Suddenly we saw that the rash driver young boy was showing to us his skill by by bending and driving the bike in zigzag manner. Visit to a Historical Fort Essay for Class 9

Introduction:
Fort means "a permanent army post"or strategic position. In Urdu means محصور جگہ  . A building which is built so that it can be defended against an enemy is called a fort. The fort usually was the capital of maximum historical kingdoms. The forts were made by many strategies to put barriers against enemy. e.g. the fort remained surrounded by deep pit so that nobody could enter into the fort except the main entrance; which was remain guarded by high protection.

Fort :
There are two forts of UNESCO ( United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Oragnization) world heritage  sites in India. They are—The Agra Fort and The Red Fort. The colour of the twor forts are red. They were made of redstone of that time. The oldest still surviving fort is the Qila Mubarak Fort in India and the Kangra fort in Kangra believed to have been built by Katoch dynasty after the battle of Mahabharata.
I visited the famous fort of Agra with my family members. Agra fort is the monument located in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is about 2.5km northwest to its famous sister monument, Taj Mahal. It is basically described as a walled city.
History of Agra Fort that I visited:
The Agra Fort has a deep history. It was taken by many great peoples rather than Mughals. The fort, was originally a brick fort and first held by Hindu Sikarwar Rajputs. Ghajnavide force captured it- is first time mentioned in 1080 AD. Sikandar Lodi was first sultan of Delhi; who shifted his capital to Agra from Delhi and lived in the fort and governed the country. He died in the fort at 1517 and his son Ibrahim Lodi held it for nine years. He built several palaces , a mosque and wells in the fort. But he was defeated and killed at Panipat in 1526. After the first battle of Panipat the fort was captured by Mughals in which Mughals have taken vast treasures including Kohi-n-oor dimond; which   is known later as Kohi-n-oor. Babur stayed in the fort and built a baoli(step well). The emperor Humayun  was crowned in 1530. Sher Shah Suri defeated Humayun and the fort remained with suris till 1555. After that Humayun recaptured it. Later Hem Chandra Vikramaditya  won Agra and started to capture Delhi , He was defeated by Akbar therefore Agra fort once again remained in the hand of Mughal.

The one story of Agra touched my heart and felt kind very much towards Shahjahan; who was imprisoned here at his last period of life and used to watch Taj from the window of the Agra fort. I visited the room from where he was watching his beloved tomb; which is now  the 7th wonder of the world. The greatness of Shahjahan ; the creator of Taj wonder; was ended in very pathetic way in this room.

I recommend every one to listen the big pathetic story of Shahjahan from the experienced guide of the Agra Fort.

634 Words Essay on Today's Youth Generation for class 9

Introduction: Youth generation has the key role  in shaping the future of a nation. Any country can ride on high growth trajectory if it is blessed with the more numbers of youths on demographic chart. But some times the youth  may cause big damage to the reputation of a nation and also may become biggest threat to the country itself if the youth get misguided with wrong human principle and belief. Why they can do so ; is not difficult to guess. It is because the youth has huge amount of energy, ambition, new ideas, sky-rising potential etc.  If these applied by them in negative sense then it can result the negative impacts of positiveness and goodness. Recent few unfortunate events have completely hammered our feelings and imprinted it in our mind such that  agony of this bad events is not getting erased from our mind. This is an example of badly nourished youth's mindset that created premeditated offending.

Why the Today's youths generation sometimes is doing wrong : It is very much compulsory to develop them in right direction from very beginning of their schooling period. Today I feel the schools are more busy to produce good professionals. But these professional sometimes may not be good human beings. It is because the schools are paying less attention towards human values learning. Literature are becoming poor. Everybody are busy in competition and trying to ride on the top in every competition. But nobody are ready to first become best human beings with high ethic. It was a time when teachers were getting respect everywhere with high morale and enthusiasm and human ethics was ruling the whole society. But today money is ruling the mindset of the people and goodness of the human characteristics is crying in a dark corner.
How to mould the youths generation: It is better to execute long term preventive and systematic solution to engage our youths in high yielding growth sector of the economy. This is the great way to mould today's youth generation by engaging them in right way. One example I am citing here. If higher investment is provided to erect bigger power project in India then more numbers of youth can be employed and power scarcity of the nation can be reduce and requirement of power for rapid growing economy can be made sustainable.  But the main question is that from where we will get the investing amount. Fund crisis solution is not an easy task in a growing economy. Our deficit is more than our saving. Therefore  FDI can be supported in proper way and subsidy is to be removed for all except BPL people in our country .  It is the one solution of moulding youths.

Duties of Today's Youth: Most important duty of the today's youth is that they must learn the good ethical habits and conduct from experienced parents and elders. Not only they must learn but also be practical in following best human principles what the great men have taught. They must be very clear about what is good and what is not. They must not cross any limit if it is against social human values. In simple one sentence they must be first try to get tagged with  good human beings before their professional tag.

Conclusion: Aspiration and underlying spirit of today's younger generation is driving force for nation's growth and pride. We youth must not let down the prestigious long lasting achieved reputation of our country. Let resolve to build the pride of the nation at its best by discharging our hidden potential more than we realize. We as student of class 9 must take our duties to its logical conclusion so that our parents and nation can share and  cite our exemplary  activities for their glory and ultimate happiness.

This essay can be modified as per need of school students of class (std) 3,4,5,6 etc also.

Introduction: Contamination of  pollutants into natural environment causes imbalance to the ecosystem which destroy the normal natural balance of the ecosystem is known as pollution. The major  forms of pollution are air pollution, water pollution, sound pollution etc.

Awareness and Rules: Pollution became a popular issue after World War II, due to radioactive fallout from atomic warfare and testing. Then a non-nuclear event, The Great Smog of 1952 in London, killed at least 4000 people. This prompted some of the first major modern environmental legislation, The Clean Air Act of 1956. Pollution began to draw major public attention in the United States between the mid-1950s and early 1970s, when Congress passed the Noise Control Act, the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act and the National Environmental Policy.

India: The Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act was enacted in 1974 to provide for the prevention and control of water pollution. The Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act was enacted in 1981 and amended in 1987 to provide for the prevention, control and abatement of air pollution in India. There are similar regulations were enacted to bring the natural balance of the human lives.

New Pollutants: Many of us aware that there is tower signal for mobile of Gigabite range carrier frequencies. This tower signal is damaging our body continuously. Other new pollutant is nuclear waste which will yet to happen. Nuclear power plants is the next requirement of the growing economy of many developing nations in the present power crisis situation. We can not stop power projects because it will sustain our growing economies. So modern  anti pollution system has to be developed to check this.

An Essay on my Last Day at School

(461 Words): It is customary in our school that the 9th class students bid farewell to the 10th class. They make the parting day as much memorable as they can. They arrange a parting feast and bear all its expense; they do their best to make the function a success.

The Last Day of my school
This year 20th February was my last day at school. The school bell range as usual. The 10th class boys were sad in outlook. After the first period the teachers and the students of high classes met in the school hall. The Principal and teachers sat in chairs. We, the students took out seats on dual desk.

Function
The function was started by the students of 9th class. They started reading poems. They sang songs and made speeches suited to the occasion. Every item of the programme was directed towards the outgoing class. Then our class in-charge got up. He made a speech which moved our heart. He told us that we were soon entering life. Out care-free life would end soon after we got high school certificates. After passing High School Examination we would have to face the hard realities of life. Principal's Speech

Finally the principal rose from his seat. There were clapping on all sides. He made a brief but beautiful speech. He talked of our association with school for number of years. He said that the good of the school that we were leaving for good should be at the heart of every student. It was the school and its worthy teachers that had prepared them for the struggle of life. He explained in details the advantages of simple living and high thinking. He wished us all a successful life and a bright future.

Our Monitor’s Speech
Then out monitor thanked the principal, the member of staff and the 9th class students for their good wishes.
