Just remember the time of our childhood when we were always happy. There smile appeared on our faces spontaneously. But more we grew up, the more conditions refrained us from being happy. The conditions start like this “if I get good marks in the exam then I will be happy”,” if I get a good job, I will be happy” etc. If I ask myself, am I really happy? If I am very happy then how the situations control my happiness? If I recently purchased my favorite car and went out for a long drive with my near and dear ones, and suddenly a very bad news appeared like a bolt from the blue then what? I would have been very happy until the news of the mishap will reach my ears. The total incident will not hesitate to take my happiness away in a single moment.

Actually, happiness does not depend on materialistic possessions, it actually depends on our quality of thought. Happiness does not mean surface enjoyment in the form of laughing or dancing or jumping, it is a stable and content stage of mind-a pure state of bliss. If I suddenly face an adverse situation, then I have to remain stable to take proper decision. It is possible only if I have an optimistic perception towards all situations.

Happiness doesn’t come from any external stimulus and neither it could be given by anyone. We only create it in our mind. It is a manifestation of our powerful state of mind. For a healthy body, we need nutritious foods, sufficient rest and exercise. In a similar way, a healthy mind requires nutritious food in the form of good and elevated thoughts, sufficient rest in the form of less production of thoughts and exercise in the form of meditation. Negative thoughts like I am useless, good for nothing etc. damage our mental energy and should be dispelled. We need to replace them by creating the positive. Our daily activities in the form of reading, watching or listening to anything affects our mind. The more we feed ourselves positive information the more we remain happy at every moment of our lives and the more we will feel at peace with ourselves.

I have come across many situations where people who are with big wallets do not treat their parents well. They forget and lack the value of their parents when they are rich grown-ups. But if I become a toy store owner I will treat my parents with the money I earn through selling toys. I will fulfill all their needs and requirements with my best efforts. I want to see them living as a king and a queen because they sacrificed so much to make us energetic personalities. Also, I will always follow the path shown by them. I will not earn in greedy ways. I will sell my toys at reasonable prices which are affordable too.

Being humble will drive me to success in no time. I will help my fellow shop owners to reach their aims and goals too. I do not compete or become jealous over their progress. Those political rulers are not concerned about the welfare and the well being of people. So to change this system of injustice, people should be taught the way to use their valuable vote to pick the best rulers for their country. People go after false beliefs and myths thinking that every person to whom they vote will satisfy their needs. At the very beginning of my life, I was handwritten and distributed only among a few groups of people in the high class who were literate. Those days I contained details about war and related issues. People did not buy me. They exchanged me for goods and valuables they had. Therefore I was not given any price. As the time passed, I grew up to be a young man. During this age, the world underwent industrialization, which brought drastic changes in the field of inventions and explorations. Through this process, people could invent the printing machine which helped them to print me instead of the handwritten ones. This was a remarkable landmark in my life.

I was spread throughout the world in printed letters. It was a wonderful experience for me to fly to many countries with my brothers and sisters. But in some places, it was sad to get separated from each other as we were dispersed to different places like houses, shops, banks, hospitals, and schools. They handled me with lots of care and protected me. Yet some people cut pictures printed on me which hurt me the most. By this time I was quite developed and modified into a smart gentleman with headlines, bold letters, italics, subheadings, long descriptions, and bullets. The people were more educated and concerned about the world happenings than the previous ages. Therefore I was not limited to high-class people. I could reach the hands of people of all ages, nationalities, religions, and countries.

After spending my life blissfully, I felt that something bad is going to happen because of the introduction of the internet to the world. People did not like to read me like before which made me feeble. Although I am contented about the life I lived, I am quite desperate when I see people ignore me. For example, an Egyptian mummy can have no relation to what a student would deal with in his or her life. Secondly, in certain cases, when the project is too intricate, the students end up outsourcing the work to an external vendor. For example, most of the science projects of students are made by vendors outside. Alternatively, if there are no vendors available to do the job, parents end up doing it for their children. Either way, students do not gain any practical knowledge and end up stressing themselves as well as their parents in the process.

Furthermore, it can be a disaster for students that belong to the less privileged section because of two main reasons. Firstly, they need to spend extra money to buy things to make such school projects (if all the students attempt to do it themselves). Secondly, they have to pay to the vendors to get it done if the project is too complicated. In any case, it is hard for a less privileged student or their families to cope up with it. In a nutshell, school projects are just a show and do not contribute to any form of real learning!
